Great News!!!

I arrived in Oklahoma late last Saturday night, the trip went rather smoothly for which I am grateful. I attended First Indian Church on Sunday night and got some fabulous news. The church has acquired a small building just down the alley (we have been hoping for this for about 2 years, but didn't know when it would finally happen). Pastor Stark, senior pastor of First Indian Church, asked me after service if I could look at the building with him. When we walked in he showed me a room and asked if it would serve well as my office, "Of Course!" I responded. Then he told me that the building was open to be utilized for children and teen ministry, and that he is going to allow me to dream of the best way to use it. This is HUGE! The children have been cramped into two small classrooms in the church and are definitely in need of more space. The teens have been meeting in the Pastor's study for years, and will finally have a place of their own to meet. I am going to be brainstorming the best ways to divide up the space for children and teens. It may be a little while before we start using the building so that we can make proper arrangements. If anyone reading this blog is interested in helping get the space ready, please leave me a note, I am certainly going to need some help! Other good news, there is a middle-aged couple that has begun helping at the church with the Nursery and with the teens. I am thrilled about getting to know them and having them as partners in this ministry. More soon...

Preparations

I have begun preparing for my transition back to OKC, to a ministry that I love and adore. I am trusting that God is going to teach me and lead me in new ways during this season of my life.
